Turnover of donations

The Phi Alpha Sigma Sorority held its annual fund-raising event, Lantern Queen 2018, last January and the proceeds from the votes for People's Choice Award were used to purchase medical supplies and equipment for our chosen charity wards at the UERM Hospital namely, Obstetrics & Gynecology Ward, Medicine Ward, and Surgery Ward.

For Medicine Ward: 2 ECG machines (12 leads, 3 channels), 30 boxes of clean gloves, 10 boxes of 4x4 gauze, 4 stand fans, 25 bed pans, 50 boxes of mask, 2 bp with stand
For Surgery Ward: 40 boxes of clean gloves, 50 boxes of 4x4 gauze, 50 gallons povidone iodine, 50 boxes of micropore, 50 packs of cotton balls, 50 boxes of mask, 40 packs surgical cap, 15 bed pans, 3 stand fans, 2 kelly pads, 6 boxes (12 packs) of chromic suture 3.0, 6 boxes of chromic suture 4.0, 6 boxes of silk suture 3.0, 6 boxes of silk suture 4.0, 19 sets of minor surgery kit
For Obstetrics & Gynecology Ward: 3 fetal dopplers, 30 boxes clean gloves, 40 boxes 4x4 gauze, 20 gallons povidone iodine, 40 boxes micropore, 40 packs cotton balls, 20 packs surgical cap, 5 stand fans, 3 kelly pads, 17 small speculum, 16 large speculums, 50 boxes of mask, 45 tubes of 150 g KY jelly

We thank all the candidates who joined the event. All the classmates, families, and friends who supported and voted for their favorite candidates. The school administration and staff for supporting this event every year. And of course our dearest brothers from the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity for always having our back. This would not have been possible without all your help.

Also, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate again, the winners of this year’s pageant, our Lantern QueenRachel Talatala and Lantern King RJ Quiroz of 2020C.
